ludy.aguda 0 Posted August 20, 2012 Hi, While playing the recorded video of our 3MP camera, the video is jumping, however while exporting the same video, recording video if fine. Is this normal in Megapixel camera? Please advise
buellwinkle 0 Posted August 20, 2012 How are you recording? Straight from camera to SD or via FTP, or an NVR? What brands? I've seen the opposite where it's smooth when played through the NVR software and then exported video is jumpy.
jhonovich 0 Posted August 21, 2012 Check your PC's cpu utilization. When playing back video (especially higher resolution / higher frame rate), CPU utilization can spike to 100% and cause a video client to fall behind and miss displaying frames, making it look jumpy or stuttering. Not sure if this is what's happening in your case but I've encountered the same type of issue caused by spiking CPU use.
ludy.aguda 0 Posted August 22, 2012 Many thanks for your reply. We are recording on a NAS device being manage by NVR at 20fps, 3MP resolution as per Ministry of Interior Regulation. NAS is made from Buffalo Technology of Japan & NVR is HP server using March Network VMS software. If CPU utilization is an issue, even for a single camera we are facing the same problem. Please note that we are using i7 processor with 4MB memory to our client PC. Please advise Thanks
buellwinkle 0 Posted August 22, 2012 Most cameras have the ability to FTP video. Try setting it up to FTP a video on motion detect directly to the Buffalo NAS and review that video to see if the problem is with the camera or with the NVR.
