wassa786 0 Posted August 21, 2012 So I've setup a 16ch dvr system with the GV1480A, it's one of the latest revisions of the card. The client wants the cameras replicated onto a 40" LED TV for the clerks. (C-Store) What are my options here? I know the card has a TV out, but I would have to use a BNC to RCA right? Is there any option of outputting to HDTV where it won't look like crap? If I use HDMI to the television from the PC, will it give me the same view? Haven't really done much in terms of TV out, usually all have been on the monitor.
matjaz 0 Posted August 24, 2012 HDMI will transfer HD to TV without problems, DVI can be a tricky one. But be carefull to use HDMI cable certificated for lenght that you need ... you cant join 2 5-meters HDMI and expect good quality ... HDMI for 10 meters must be build from better cable than 3 meters HDMI. Cheaper option is HDMI over CAT-5 cable with cheap HDMI extender like this http://www.ebax.si/app/trg/product_info.php/hdmi-extender-over-utp-p-3154 (just for ilustration, they dont sell to USA)
