windows 7 64 bit and Geovision remote view client

i upgraded a computer on our network to windows 7 64 bit and when i went to install the geovision remote view program it pops up an error saying that it isnt compatible and that i need to check if my pc is 32 bit or 64 bit.

 

this computer only needs to run the remote view client for playback purposes. is there a 64 bit friendly version out there?

 

i did try right clicking on the setup file from the cd and selecting it to run in windows xp sp3 compatibility, but i assume it still uses the 64 bit portions of my OS to do that which is why it still fails.

 

any updated software or am i stuck going back to xp sp3 with 32 bit or downgrading to win7 32 bit?

 

i still have the old computer with xp and remote view on it, i was trying this on a new computer that was going to replace the old one.

if i were the one operating the computer i wouldnt have a problem doing that.

 

i ended up installing windows 7 pro 32 bit and the program installed w/o any issues.

Hi Just thoght i point out it does work on windows 7 64

 

Not sure what up with your windows 7 64 bit install but the client does work on work windows 7 64 bit I have it on more the one 64 bit workstations

i dont think anything was wrong with my windows 7 64 bit install.

 

the error message i got specifically said something about 32 bit and 64 bit. i know the goevision software is 32 bit and the OS was 64 bit and i guess i just assumed they didnt want to play nice with e/o.

 

once i switched to a 32 bit OS, the remote view client loaded up w/o any errors.

 

although i wasnt using the two programs you are linking above. i never had an issue with DMMultiview on a 64 bit OS, i was trying to install the remote playback/view program.
