Razesdark 0 Posted August 30, 2012 I currently have this project where I have to replace a controll system for a bunch of domes. They used to have 1 on 1 controll devices which contained the protocol for each dome seperately. I now have 2 axis devices which just controll all the domes. The problem is tho, that some domes use VCL and the newer ones use Pelco D. Since the old structure was 1 on 1, the only option I have is to create a Star system which requires me to use an RS485 hub. I'm just wondering tho, do I need two seperate hubs for each protocol, or can I just use 1 large one for all domes and send both VCL and Pelco D on the same busline ? So basicly, do VCL and Pelco D bite eachother ? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
