The maximum resolution your DVR can record is D1, so 1080p cams would be useless. Dont spend anymore then $500 on a cam that can record at D1.
Toaster 0 Posted September 7, 2012 With a budget of $1000 I'm sure you could easily get a second IP ready DVR (NVR) and a 1080p camera, or at least a 720p camera. ??????? Simply add IP Megapixel/nvr to your existing setup, since you're looking for a single camera.
surmall 0 Posted September 28, 2012 Not know much about the PTZ Camera. I only know one about $500. The total Pixels is 380000.
vector18 1 Posted September 28, 2012 Tell us where it's going or what you want to see. How far, how much lighting, etc. And like others said, for best picture you should go with a 1080P camera, but your current dvr cannot record it. You can actually buy a megapixel camera and an NVR for it for your budget, so to get the best picture, you would a 2nd recorder.
