snoopy 0 Posted October 17, 2005 Hi, Im running a DVR system with the KMC 4400r card and 4.10 software, and i notice that my cameras show very blurry especially with sunlight, even though i have auto iris cameras, and its very very pixelly but the cameras are suppose to be a high resolution, they look good on other systems i have seen but not on mine (other system were using a different dvr card) i was just wondering if thats a software issue or hardware. Also, does anyone know where i can find an update for the Diginet Site 4.12 ???
snoopy 0 Posted October 17, 2005 oh by the way the specs are: P4 2.4 256mb ABIT mb intel chipset (also same problem i had on an asus) ATI Radeon 9250 200gb hdd cdrw running windows xp.
rory 0 Posted October 17, 2005 What cameras are they, and have you tested the cameras on a CCTV Monitor, or at least a TV, to make sure they are working and focused properly? Rory
snoopy 0 Posted October 17, 2005 The cameras are from china, their focused and i did view it thru a portable tv monitor, but like i say the picture is horrible, very very pixelly and the playback is even worse but the worst part is the camera i have in a corner of the office pointing at the counter, you cannot see anyones face or anything beyond the counter and entrance its completely saturated and that camera i have an auto iris varifocal lens on. snoopy 0 Posted October 17, 2005 also, those cameras have been tested on other screens and dvrs and they work just fine, but like i said i have a couple of systems and they look like that on all of my locations, and i even adjusted the little gold knob on the card itself which makes the pictures brighter or darker. snoop
cctv_down_under 0 Posted October 17, 2005 Be carefull that knob was not a Gain Control? Are you using a LCD screen, just sounds like a crappy card to me!
snoopy 0 Posted October 17, 2005 i think it was a gain control, it adjusts darkness and brightness, but the gain is fine. It may just be a crappy card, but i have crappy cards at multiple locations. I was wondering if maybe updating the diginet software from 4.10 to 4.12 might makea difference.
snoopy 0 Posted October 17, 2005 and i am using beautiful lcd monitors, definitely not the monitor.
loop 0 Posted October 17, 2005 If I remember right on the Kodicom card you have a blue plastic cube with a screw on it's side. It's a potentiometer for electrically adjusting the capture sensitivity. Try playing with this screw while watching the video and see if it solves your problem. Be careful with screw driver...
