mike300 0 Posted October 18, 2005 I'm installing Panasonic WV-CW474A domes using 24VAC power. The manual says that the ground wire should be connected to the power supply. Is this necessary? The power cable runs that I have only have two wires. I'd have to run new cable with 3 wires in order to hook up the ground. Other 24VAC cameras that I've installed have not had a ground wire. Heck how many times have you seen people with surge protectors and at the end of the power plug you see a 3 prong to 2 prong adapter (and dont screw the ring)?
