Looking for a Hybrid DVR

Been lurking on the forum lately and have learned A TON.

 

 

I have decided I would like to look into a Hybrid DVR, start off with 3-4 analog cameras and add 1-2 IP cameras when the funds allow.

 

 

I know Hybrid DVR's are Significantly more expensive, and was hoping you folks could offer some suggestions for a decent model, while keeping cost as low as possible.

Did you find one yet? I bought direct from Lin Vision in China. $728 + DHL shipping + 5% to Alibaba.com. Model is Dahua DVR-9116HFI-H16 which is identical to this one: http://www.dvrsystems.net/watchnet-eh-rtd1-16-channel-stand-alone-dvr-system.pdf for $2,799.00. Andy Chen is the rep for Lin Vision and can connect via Skype at andy.linovision. Some people will tell you to buy a better DVR/NVR but maybe they have the money.

Still a good deal and the equipment arrived in good condition compared to what I could have purchased - the salesman gave me no information or specifications. His sales strategy might have worked for more gullible people with money to blow but I'm on a budget.

 

Anyone have an opinion about http://ipvm.com/ pro membership for training videos? They are the only reliable source of training I have found. Don't know what the membership will buy me.

If your looking for hybrid I would leave the dahua alone

Hi,

Someone help access Andy Granville DVR firmware upgrade link. I tried adding Hik Vision HD cameras, but it refused to accept the cameras. Any help?
