wez42 0 Posted September 19, 2012 I am trying to set up a 2 camera system at a remote location that doesn't have land line broadband. I have a G3 wifi dongle that connects 5 devices on the T-Mobile network and a Netgear wifi adapter which I've connected to a Sentient DVR using an ethernet cable. The adapter displays that it is connected to the wifi dongle, but when I enter the IP address of the camera I can't access the image. I know that the dongle requires a code, is that why the DVR can't broadcast through it, or is there some other reason? The dongle is unlimited browsing and 1gb download. The aim is for the camera to be viewed remotely on an iPhone. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ssnapier 0 Posted September 19, 2012 Ok, I am not quite sure I am tracking your setup so tell me if this diagram matches what you are doing.
wez42 0 Posted September 20, 2012 Thanks for getting in touch. Your diagram is near enough, but there's router between the wifi netgear adapter and the wifi 3G dongle. I thought the netgear adapter was a router?
ssnapier 0 Posted September 29, 2012 It could be... can you either post a picture of it or post the model number?
sinbad 0 Posted October 6, 2012 the 'dongle' is USB for laptop use AFAIK. you want to get a 3g router and buy the sim card from T-mobile. then wire your dvr to the router and viola.
