vincerules 0 Posted September 30, 2012 I want to put a camera to monitor people walking up to my front door. I am thinking either a dome camera on the ceiling in the upper right hand corner or a peephole type camera in the wall to the right. My concern with the dome camera is that I don't know what to look for that would give me good field of view so close to the door and with the peephole I don't know if they provide good enough quality. I currently have IP cameras, but this camera can be either IP or some other connection, as long as I can connect it to my zoneminder pc using some type of card. Price wise, I'm hoping to keep it under 200 or possibly up to 300.
jakesoundels 0 Posted September 30, 2012 I'm thinking the Dahua 1.3 MP for $200 or the CNB VBM 24 VF analog camera. The CNB has a nice wide FOV and would be a decent choice for that area. Seems like you're going to need an analog card on the PC though. If you keep the light on I'd go for the Dahua
