shamooni 0 Posted October 7, 2012 Hi to all. I would like to ask if anyone can please answer this question. I have 2 x Dahua 3mp bullet cameras connected and configured to my PC. I want them to record on motion directly to my Qnap TS419P+ NAS Drive, but it will only record if my PC is on running the PSS application. I would like to keep the PC off and record directly onto the NAS. Unfortunately the NAS doesnt support the Dahua camera's I purchased and was hoping you can help me figure out if this is possible to do. I have spent over 1 week working this out and for a non computer tech person, I am glad I got to where I am. Just need it to record onto NAS without a PC running. Any assistance is really appreciated as I am doing my head in. Thanking you in advance Regards Peter
ssnapier 0 Posted October 7, 2012 The QNAP surveillance station is not that good, and they have been a little slow to develop camera support so I would not count on that happening anytime soon. Have you posted on the QNAP support forums to ask about that? I don't recall there being a way to record generic RTSP, but I could certainly be wrong since I don't follow it very closely. finalwish 0 Posted October 7, 2012 You need to get Surveillance Station Pro. It lists 2 Dahua cameras support. http://www.qnap.com/NAS/Compatibility.html
techwhizard 0 Posted October 7, 2012 Could just setup FTP on the Dahua camera's to point to QNAP NAS for photos and videos.
