linktas 0 Posted October 7, 2012 Just have a quick question. I am doing a 12 camera install with 3 spot monitors. The ceiling is too low for a regular ceiling mount so they sent me this suspended ceiling mount: Now it comes with an attachment to attach directly to whatever device you are connecting to but no mounting plate or anything for the TV is included so I will have to use another mounting plate to connect the TV. I was told I need to provide the pipe to connect the two together. Now my question is should I use a galvanized pipe and would this be safe. I would also have to drill into this pipe to make the holes for the mounting plate, would a regular drill and proper bit work for this? To keep the clearance right I can use a 18" pipe and rig it to work. I know it says to use standard 1.5" NPT pipe but the tv mount plate will only take a 3/4" pipe. Does any one have a better suggestion for this or should I go with my method. Just want to make sure I am going the proper route with this. I appreciate any input.
