madmax12 0 Posted October 18, 2012 Hello all, I need a recommendation of an outdoor camera capable of capturing licenses plates at roughly ~50-60 feet. This camera will also be used during night time. I have a budget of around ~$750 if possible, per camera. Thank you very much, Max
buellwinkle 0 Posted October 18, 2012 Check out the ATCi KCM-5611, it has very good WDR capabilities that you would need to capture plates. Listis $900 but I believe you may find it under your budget.

Thank you very much for the fast reply sir! I am checking it out right now, it looks pretty decent. Do you think this will be the best one for the price range? What would be a good cheaper ATCi camera to pair with it for indoor use, say just for a hallway maybe to cover 10-20 feet so I can recognize a person? This ones budget is much lower than the outdoor one, id say under $
buellwinkle 0 Posted October 18, 2012 I haven't gotten the pricing yet but ACTi released a few indoor cameras recently, the E51 and E52 (built in IR LEDs) that replace the older ACM-3511 and TCM-3511. I've been using the ACM-3511 at home and it works quite well, lights up the inside of my house well, even larger great room spaces.
