FORMULASTARS 0 Posted October 19, 2012 I have been commissioned to look into providing a high-definition cctv solution to a kart-track. The track length is about 1000m (3280ft) shoehorned into a plot 300 feet wide at the widest point and 600 feet long - although the track twists and turns a lot. They don't want it for security, but rather want to use it so that the Stewards can see all of the race (in certain parts from 2 camera angles) so that they can sanction bad drivers. (All came out of someone trying to sell them 6 TV cameras to do the same job - but the problem is you them need 6 camera operators which gets expensive). We considered that 16 strategically placed hign-speed (60fps or more) HD (1080 or more) cameras would do the job, ...... although we also need a simple system to pull up the images. - The system is only used 1 day (Sunday!) per week so my pastor is going to get annoyed during the hand-holding sessions inevitable). Has anyone done this before or got any suggestions Thanks a Million Nick
coolie11 0 Posted October 28, 2012 16 strategically placed, 15-30fps 2MP(1080p) Cameras, would more than do the job. You may not even need 16 it they are positioned properly.
