Intellex LT add another hdd can i?

Recommended Posts

I have the above unit running on NT with 160gb hdd in it, split into OS and 135gb for the data.

I have added more camera and needless to say i now get less days recorded.

So my question is this. Can i add a 2nd hdd, and have this add the extra storage? or can only one database be used?

The 2nd question is this, can i got a bigger hdd, say a 300gb / 500gb, assuming i can find an ide one cheap enough. But still use the D partition giving me a lot more storage space.

Will it span the data over both partitions? Or i need to lose the D 135gb and just use a 500gb for example. Assuming NT likes 500gb or if i can even get a 1tb ide

thank you for your input

Assuming that your LT has one free IDE port:

- format a new HDD (on a PC)

- install this HDD in the LT

- power up your LT

- from the Setup Options screen, click Storage

- add new volume to the LT database

Intellex LT (running software version 5.0) database supports of up to 25TB (on the Windows XP)
