Vivotek Encoders+Exacq

Has anyone used any of the Vivotek encoders the VS8801 in particular? I'm looking to pair them with Exacqvision Pro. Ive used Exacq with Panasonics WJ-GXE500 and they work great but are little pricey. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
