technical.jpm 0 Posted October 26, 2012 Controlling an encoded analogue PTZ. Anyone have any information regarding how IP systems control telemetry for PTZ? I have Pelco PTZ which are currently encoded using Verint single channel encoder and I have installed a Dallmeier head end and can't replace the encoders with Dallmeier encoders so I was wondering if anyone has insight as to how encoders translate rs485 pelco d signals to IP and back again from PCK (keyboards) Can I find the "Port" similar to VSIP (Video security over Internet Protocol) for telemtry control or is there no such thing? Do the encoders use some kind of Tunneling protocol? Very Interested
Numb-nuts 1 Posted October 27, 2012 What did he just say? Look if you can get the telemetry working trough your DVR you won't have to worry about the IP as it all uses the same port as the video I theeenk?
technical.jpm 0 Posted October 27, 2012 Hey, dallmeier hybrib system with local ptz's working however I have four remote (in field) ptz using fibre and non dallmeier (verint) encoders .not supported by dallmeier dms2400 hybrid system . I want to for the lack of a better word ,hot wire telemetry control because I've already tapped the onvif stream
