AVTech Digiguard 4ch MPEG4 DVR w/CDRW

Hello all,

 

I have had an AVtech Digiguard 4ch mpeg4 DVR for about 4 years now. It has always worked flawlessly. The HD crashed once and was a simple replacement.

 

I moved about a year ago and didn't have the time to set the system back up for home security until today.

 

I have it setup, rechecked everything and here is my issue:

 

It is only displaying the 3 quadrants and a giant MPEG4 in a floating box in the middle of the screen.

 

I have tried entering 0000, 1111, the Menu+Enter hold and even went so far as to perform a factory reset.

 

I have even tried to use the network port on the back and it shows link activity, but my router does not see anything attached (should be a 192.168.1.10).

 

When I look at it when the box is open, there is a red LED on the mainboard that does a steady blink.

 

On the face panel, nothing is light up except for power. Every once in the while the HD light will flicker (like a hearbeat every 3-5 mins). So I know the device is not recording. When I unplug a camera it does not give me a tone telling me there is a power outage.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
