diyengineer 0 Posted November 2, 2012 http://www.pelco.com/sites/global/en/sales-and-support/downloads-and-tools/tools/pelco-camera-tool.page I found this to be awesome! Enter in camera specs. Find address of your home/business and enter it in program. Place cameras where you would like them and adjust until happy! You can drop cameras of different specifications on the map as well. Saved me a bunch of time on deciding what general location i want to place my cameras. Maybe make this a sticky?
aruegger 0 Posted November 6, 2012 I use that too! I also like this one, helpful for people relatively new to the industry -> http://www.pelco.com/sites/global/en/sales-and-support/downloads-and-tools/tools/lens-calc.page Add in dimensions and lens type and it tells you what area size will be in view without having to do set up testing. Hopefully I'll be experienced enough one day to just know, but so far its been very helpful.
fivestaralarm 0 Posted November 8, 2012 This is a very nice tool for the security camera. Just fill up all the dimensions of your camera and rest of the work is on this software.

ChrisL 0 Posted November 11, 2012 Pelco also has another amazing tool when it comes to systems designs. It is their 3D Cad Tool that can be found : http://www.pelco.com/sites/global/en/sales-and-support/downloads-and-tools/tools/3d_camera_design_tool.page Its so sweet, if you import your auto cad drawing into the application you can show your customer the exact views of each camera. Just a word of advice remember to set the height of the drawing, otherwise things get out-of-control crazy.
