cctvmann 0 Posted November 7, 2012 Hi Guys , Can anybody advise me how to design a pole for cctv cameras and what to take into consideration ? metal poles are normall used but just remember there will be wind against it, plus it needs to have a fairly wide base for fixing, lattice towers are the preffered type for me as they can be climbed by the installer if neccasary or cherry picker if location allows, but also there is very little wind that pushes against it. minimum height id go is 6m but i prefer 8 depending again on the site etc.
ilk 0 Posted November 7, 2012 Hi Guys , Can anybody advise me how to design a pole for cctv cameras and what to take into consideration ? Deflection in the highest wind speeds that could be exprienced in your area, given height of the pole, weight, windage(size of load presented to the wind) and ground conditions. Also consider security against attack or theft of equipment. Examples of designs that are used internationally include Altron (www.altron.co.uk) and WEC (www.wec.uk.net) Ilkie
justincameras 0 Posted November 14, 2012 I've seen these type poles where a drill can raise and lower the camera. No ladders, no lifts. http://www.altron.co.uk/highways_and_transport_sector_view.html Got your calculator? http://www.acmelingo.com/flagpoles/FP1001-07.pdf
