antdickens 0 Posted October 27, 2005 I have a client who currently uses a pelco dx3100. I was under the impression that pelco where high end. They are certainly pricey. I think the current system has low quality cameras and the diaply is a standard TV. They have asked me to quote for a system with a higher quality image. Would installing better quality cameras and a proper cctv monitor give a good improvement. I am tempted to swap out the cameras and put in a geovision system with a higher frame rate but if the pelco is a good unit i'll recommend they keep it. TIA Both cameras and DVRs swapout can show some improvement, depending on the cameras' performance. The DX3100 is a discontinued unit and, perhaps a little older compression technology, so I would recommend contacting a Panasonic or Bosch Rep and trying out their DVRs with the same cameras.
