interloperko 0 Posted November 19, 2012 Here's the problem. DVRs support an apple product for remote viewing. Apple upgrades iOS. DVR company doesn't follow suit, rendering the app unusable. How many times have you seen this? Any DVRs out there with a rep for keeping apps updated? Preferably H.264 with PTZ. Needing new company to buy from as well. This gets on my nerves. Any ideas? Any dedicated to iPad specifically? Much appreciated.
interloperko 0 Posted November 19, 2012 After some googling I came across iDVR E series claims iPad support. It looks to be pretty pricey for what it is. Any comments appreciated
FATHERFORD 0 Posted November 19, 2012 Have you tried using apps that aren't dvr specific? I use IP Cam Viewer Pro on my android and Can view my aver and nightowl setup.
interloperko 0 Posted November 19, 2012 These dvrs are MPEG4 and generally need active X with IE to view. Is there a work around for this in general with these mobile devices? I'm not an expert for this department, I'll admit
rawfuls 0 Posted November 19, 2012 Try supercam. Plug in your IP, port, and credentials, and it will log right in. SuperDVR (the computer based DVR I'm using) is activeX w/ IE (only), but seems to work.
yakky 0 Posted November 20, 2012 The Dahua stuff works great in Wine and they have their own bottled wine app as well. Rory at Bahamas secuirty also has a couple of great apps that work under wine and can be bottled if you desire.
