Can anyone explain this?

Have not touched any settings in my cameras or NVR in the last 2 days. My shop is closed for the winter. Have been in there today, but not altered any lighting arrangements.

 

ACTi TCM-3511 wall mounted

 

First snapshot is from last night. Now I understand that it probably would be no good if there was movement, however its a good still picture. Certainly thought I'd cleared up my earlier IR bleed issue. Dome is off the camera.

The next shot is from tonight, same time of day, and as stated not changes made to setup.

Is it me being thick, or is something amiss? Had similar results with camera at other end of store.

Im going to take a guess that it may be the other cams messing with it and visa versa, I only say guess because this looks similar to a problem I had with two of my cams, difference is one is a megapixel dahua and the other is a analouge samsung, the samsung worked fine, but the dahua kept dropping image quality a little, similar to your pictures here, I wracked my head trying to work out what was wrong till I realised that the cameras had a clear view of each others IR, moving one sorted it.

 

The only easy way to try and see if this is happening to your cameras is to hang something up from the roof beams, like a piece of card to break the view of the IR directly, placed up in line with the ceiling lights, card or fine netting may work, high enough to block direct line of sight but still give a good view of the stock areas, but its only a suggestion.

I'm guessing you don't have a problem with burglars in the rafters. Can you aim the camera down a bit, just below the lights on the other end? That may eliminate the problem with dueling light sources.

It could be an iris issue.

 

Nah, can't be that, it's fixed iris.

 

Right this camera is fixed iris. I have seen this before on the TCM-1231. Basically every night the image would be lighter or darker then the night before. We gave up trying to fix them and just stopped selling them because of the trouble. I also saw this issue with a VideoIQ camera which does have auto-iris and that turned out to be the issue. They replaced the camera and everything has been fine since.

I have two 3511s and two 1231s, never had an issue remotely similar to this. I believe it's the camera on the far wall tricking the sensor. Also, have you checked the firmware, there used to be exposure hunting issues they fixed a while ago, wouldn't hurt to check.
