Seeking a replacement DVR

Recommended Posts

I am looking to replace my 16 channel DVR due to a power failure and other performance issues and would like to seek input. My current setup has the DVR and 12v power supply inside a telco cabinet in a closet therefore I would like to be able to manage all aspects via remote software client.

I currently have (6) Samsung SCV-2080R external dome cameras, along with an internal Vitek VTD-AR2812/1 dome, and would like to have the ability to add 2-4 more cameras (possibly IP/megapixel).

Desired Features:

  • Ability to record ~30fps @ D1 on all cameras
Some type of watchdog to reset system if cameras stop recording (last DVR would freeze and stop recording).
Ability to search per camera, time, etc and if possible search a designated area to detect change.
Ability to mask out motion zones so motion in the defined area doesn't prompt recording.
    Iphone/browser remote viewing.

Prior to posting I did some research on the site and saw good recommendations for dahua DVR's, but I was unable to ascertain the difference between their higher end units.

Thanks in advance for help/recommendations.

Good point. Fl - USA. Also, I would like the capability to have different user access levels particularly for online viewing (i.e. view only, and limit accessible cameras)..

Thanks in advance for everyone input.
