C7 in CA 0 Posted October 30, 2005 Just a friendly reminder to those of us living where Daylight Savings Time is observed... It's that time again. To keep the posting times correct on this forum you will need to change the TimeZone setting in your profile: http://www.cctvforum.com/profile.php?mode=editprofile

C7 in CA 0 Posted October 31, 2005 Thanks C7, You screwed me up. If it was set right the first time, no touchy... Sorry. But are you sure your time is right? I'm in CA and my profile is set to -8 GMT for the correct time. It was -7 before the change.
rory 0 Posted October 31, 2005 you should always be -8 .. im always -5 .. ?? Actually its just your time zone, just depends what they have their zone set to, on what time they see. The server's clock should go back automatically so that will make up the hour.
Jasper 0 Posted October 31, 2005 (edited) OK, here I go again. Lets see what this time is with -8GMT. No it is -7 GMT for me. I don't know why. It just works. C7, You sure your in CA Did your computer update the date and time? I am so confused. Edited October 31, 2005 by Guest
rory 0 Posted October 31, 2005 you dont have to post for it to change the time .. you will just see the times different from your PC time ..
Jasper 0 Posted October 31, 2005 (edited) I knew that, I was just checking to see if you would pick up on it. Yeah right. Now I know. Still confused why C7 is -8. I checked my computer clock and it says -8 also, but has the box checked for auto adjust for daylight savings time. Maybe he didn't check that box? The server's clock should go back automatically so that will make up the hour. I have always had to change it. If the server clock changes it then all the people that _don't_ observe Daylight Savings have to change their settings... right?

Jasper 0 Posted October 31, 2005 I am an idiot I have two clocks sitting side by side in front of me. One of them changes automatically with Daylight savings time and the other; well you guessed it is the one I have been looking at. Hey C7, You’re in CA, where I am, I don't know, maybe a little past Texas or so. The funny part is that the weather clock I was looking at is supposed to set itself by the Atomic clock. I guess my clocks reception isn't too good. Yeah, like I said way back yonder. Thanks C7
Jasper 0 Posted October 31, 2005 Rory, Your cell phone time didn't change? Geez, that's the one thing that usually always changes automatically. Well at least you knew the right time. I would have believed my cell phone. Weird tings goin on around thar man
