snappop 0 Posted December 7, 2012 I have some generic bullet cameras with built in IR. The camera does not have OSD but I would like to disable the IR. I'm assuming that I have to open the case and cut the wires to the IR LED's but I'm not sure how to go about opening the case without damaging the camera. If anyone has tried this and can offer suggestions I would be most appreciative. There are not any external screws on the camera housing.
Six9siX-Joe 0 Posted December 9, 2012 This is a simple cheap dome camera So when opened if looks like this (IR plate - red/black 2 wires) and (board red/black/yellow 3wires or 4 with audio) its easy just unplug the IR plate on the connector if it has one if not cut the two wires. IR plate: red-power black-ground board: red-power black-ground yellow-video if the cam has electrical IR cut filter (on IR plate has more than two wires) better not disabling it. Try to unscrew the body of the cam if has no visible screws.
