rickoshea 0 Posted December 9, 2012 Hi New to Residential CCTV, but looking to learn. Just installed a QVIS Atlantis 4 DVR with 1 * QVIS EYE-E36-V2G Dome camera. I would like to be able to play the recordings from the DVR using either Windows media player, Real Player of iMove for Mac. Is this possible ? I have tried to download the captured recordings from the DVR, but neither format ( H.264 or AVI ) work. Is the QVIS file format a standard or does it require a special plugin? Thanks for any help and I am sure this wont be my last question! Regards Rick.

The whole point of the export s that you have un-editable files for evidential purposes however, during the playback on a PC there will be an option to export a copy to AVI this can only be done on a PC. AVI format is unlikely to be accepted in a court as evidence as it can be edited so the AVI file is only useful as a copy for reference or for YouTube.
