DxClient connect failed!(2) reason : (-3) no stream timeout

I have a Night Owl model# TIGER-4230 4 camera DVR and i keep getting the warning connect fail message when trying to log in to the dxclient. I am just trying to log in on my LAN, I have not set up over the internet viewing yet. The system worked fine for a while and I tried to log in after a long time and now I cannot get on. Any help would be appreciated. I would also like to be able to view on my Iphone or Ipad, is there other software for that or is it possible with this DVR?

Check to make sure your internal ip address has not changed (on the DVR) if your router is set to DHCP.

This is as easy as logging into your router page (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1) and checking the DHCP Client List/Table and finding the DVR.

 

Once found, make sure that ip address qualifies under the port forwarding required by Night Owl.
