DrSweden 0 Posted December 9, 2012 Live in Stockholm, Sweden in an apartment building, have a MPEG4 4CH DVR with four cams, and a 750 gig HD. Similar to this: Everything works pretty ok, quality sux because it's in a garage with obviously bad light. But that's no the issue, the system costed about €600 a few years ago. The issue is that I don't know how I can get the recorded files over to my mac computer. In the manual one is supposed to use PC viewr 6d, which doesn't work in my MAC os x snow leopard, I managed to find PSS 4.03 but I can't get the dvr in the software. I have the ip address, and port which should be enough according to the manual for the PC viewr. So I figured I used a left over wireless router, and connect that to the DVR and then connect with the mac to the router and search for the ip, but no success. I tried so app for the iPhone, but the ip-number and port give no hit. I tried direct connect via USB, but the DVR comes in the wrong format, and my mac wants to format the external drive as the DVR appears. I tried another software, security spy, tried the web server setup, but no hit. Any tips? Anyone done this with os x without being able to connect the computer to a real wifi? I guess having an PC would have done the trick, but I don't want a PC...
