Jasper 0 Posted November 8, 2005 Looks like the Cam Wizard software will do motion detection. http://www.soft14.com/Home_and_Education/Home_and_Lifestyle/Cam_Wizard_10627_Review.html Have your tried installing the Cam Wizard software to see what that does for you? On the CyberLink PowerVCR II you don’t need to try and install it anymore. There is definitely something that is preventing it from running. I am not familiar with that particular program, but am wondering if you even need it if you are going to use the Cam Wizard software for monitoring the camera. As long as the drivers for the card you installed are working, which you can tell by right clicking on my computer, then choosing properties, then hardware, then device manager and looking for display adapter, then click on the + sign to see the listing below that. You can then put your cursor over your card listed there and right click on it, choose properties and on the general tab it well tell you if your card is working properly or not. kandcorp 0 Posted November 8, 2005 (run´tīm er´&r) (n.) An error that occurs during the execution of a program. In contrast, compile-time errors occur while a program is being compiled. Runtime errors indicate bugs in the program or problems that the designers had anticipated but could do nothing about. For example, running out of memory will often cause a runtime error Got enough memory..Or at least enough free...Give us you computer specs
rory 0 Posted November 8, 2005 run time error is an error they could have done something about, but didnt. But that could take alot of extra time and maybe they were on a dead line .. Too many things can cause run time errors .. do you have enough hard drive space, is the program looking for something in particular that isnt there ..? What program is this ..? Got a link? Jasper 0 Posted November 8, 2005 Is Cam Wizard software going to work for him in this setup? It is designed for a Web Cam, does that make any difference? It looks like a good little program if it will work for him. Here is a link to a site selling the Power VCR II software. http://store.purplus.net/cypoiide.html
Thomas 0 Posted November 8, 2005 It can also be issues for looking for data for variables that is missing due to .ini file or registry error.
rory 0 Posted November 9, 2005 Cam Wizard isnt a professional program, so who knows what issues you are going to get with it .. in fact, it was one of the worst ones i tested.
Jasper 0 Posted November 9, 2005 As far as professional, the whole setup isn’t professional so if Cam Wizard or something else meets his needs that is all that is important. Are their any other inexpensive programs that you tested that might meet his needs?
rory 0 Posted November 9, 2005 None of the good programs were inexpensive http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=2021
