Help with Design/equipment for a manufacturing facility

Hello Everyone!

 

I run the IT department for a small manufacturing facility. I have been tasked with coming up with a video surveillance solution for our shipping department, and I could use some help. Currently we use a combination of Ubiquiti cameras, and the Blue Iris software for the rest of the plant.

 

Our plan as of the moment is to have designated packing stations with multiple cameras focused on those areas. What we also want to do is to be able to overlay text onto the video, (sales order number for example.) That way if we need to go back through the video we can find it easily.

 

I have seen that there are text inserters for POS systems. I was wondering though If there was a text inserter that could simply be connected to a bar code scanner??
