dmac1036 0 Posted December 29, 2012 The following is the step-by-step procedure to remotely connect a Blackberry 9370 Smartphone to a Swann H.264 DVR for remote viewing of Swann security cameras over the 3G network. There is NO guarantee that this procedure will work on all devices but it did work to set up my Blackberry Smartphone to remotely connect with my Swann DVR. 1. Install the security cameras and connect cameras to DVR according to instructions. 2. Plug DVR and cameras into electrical outlet and turn on DVR. 3. From DVR Console, click the console. 4. Enter Administrator USER NAME & PASSWORD (this must be specified during initial setup of DVR), and then Click on . 5. Click on Button. 6. Click on Button and change value to "85" or "3100" (write this number down on a sheet of paper – you will need it later in the setup). 7. Write down the IP address of the DVR on line 4 (this is your PRIVATE IP address). 8. Ensure UPNP is "ENABLED" on line 9. 9. Click on Button, then click on Button, then click on Button. 10. Close this internet browser window once you have recorded your PUBLIC IP address. The following describes how to correctly set up the router to forward packets to the proper DVR port. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RECONFIGURE THE ROUTER UNLESS YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE DOING. Otherwise, you could end up causing your router to fail and/or subjecting your network to intrusion). Change your router settings at your own risk. 20. From any computer at your location, log into your router via Windows Internet Explorer by typing “HTTP://IP address of your router “ (for example – “HTTP://180.80.1.1”) and press . 21. Click on “FIREWALL SETTINGS”. 22. Click on “PORT FORWARDING”. 23. Add the IP Address of your DVR (recorded in step #7 above). 24.
