nmcc89 0 Posted January 3, 2013 hi all, im new to this and ive recently had a 2 beam lazer beam security system installed in my property. now when the lazers are activated it sets an alarm off and then rings my mobile then landline etc. as they are connected to ring out does that mean that someone with the right information could be calling in to my lazers and setting them off. they have been going off a few random times over the last few weeks and then out of the blue the installer would call me asking if there are any problems because he is trying to sell me a camera. so i was thinking that he might be setting them off so id buy cameras for the place. (he doesnt no ive had cameras installed and when the lazers go off the cameras are clear even on playback) so if anybody has any idea if he or somebody else is setting them off id love to no. Thanks in advance Nick.
Kawboy12R 0 Posted January 4, 2013 Tell him his current equipment is giving false positives and that you want the problem fixed or you want your money back. Then and only then consider anything else from him. That'll fix him if he IS playing with you, and you don't really want his laser stuff if it works that poorly if he ISN'T playing with you, right? I'm not a security expert, but I do know what *I* would do if someone installed something that wasn't working properly. As for what your system is capable of doing as far as remote triggers, you'd probably have to tell the folks here the make and model of what you had installed.
