MicroMina 0 Posted January 9, 2013 Hello everyone, I got a Swann DVR4-4000 which states clearly on the box that it is compatible with mobile viewing. Also, the SwannView Pro app on the play store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SwannViewPro&hl=en) states that this model is compatible with the app as well. But I can't for the life of me set the DVR for mobile viewing. I set up the DVR with a static IP and all is working from the networking side; I can view the DVR on IE by using the ActiveX Control and all is working. As for mobile viewing I don't see any mobile menu in the DVR or a mobile port AT ALL. All I have is the HTTP port and the server port, and none have worked for me when using the SwannView app. Any help? Thanks.
Swann Tech 0 Posted January 10, 2013 Hi MM, The 4000 (& 3000) series DVRs do not have a mobile menu, nor do they use a mobile port. All streams come from the server port on this DVR (default 9000). Usually the first impediment to seeing the DVR on your phone is an incorrectly configured router. Have you checked the functionality of your router? The UPnP implementation on the DVR is very good, but not all routers are compatible.
MicroMina 0 Posted January 10, 2013 Thanks for the reply, I was just confused not seeing a mobile menu like the older DVRs. Port 9000 works fine. Thank you.
