aibudo 0 Posted January 10, 2013 Issues with older DVR saving connection changes and saving BMP and AVI: No name on the DVR. Remote software version: 5.8.002.26ENCUTAP Screen Shot of the Local Setup Window attached: Remote Software "Window" attached; Following is the HTTP Address that comes up in the "Blank" browser when accessing the DVR remotely via my DynDns address. (Have removed the part that shows my DVR address for security): hxxp://dvrlink.net/webdvr/webdvr0.0.0.0_26.0.0.0.htm?param=xxxxxxxxx.dyndns.org¶m2=¶m3=16¶m4=¶m5= The "Local Setup" connection window will allow you to enter the appropriate information to access the remote DVR, but will not save anything. You can click on the "Modify" button and then "OK", but nothing is saved. When you come back to access the DVR again, you have to enter the connection info again. Leave the window and you have to do it all over again. Also, when clicking on the "save" buttons, nothing is downloaded to your computer, either BMP or AVI. There are buttons at the bottom of the DVR "View" window for downloading "SystemPack.msi" and "LanguagePack.msi". I have downloaded the "SystemPack.msi" but haven't done anything with it. What is the "SystemPack.msi"? If anyone recognizes the Connection Window and/or the Remote Software version, I could use some help with this. Dennis

aibudo 0 Posted January 11, 2013 I would like to save it. I have become to wonder if maybe there is an original CD available someplace. Either that or a software/firmware upgrade. Always hate to throw electronics away. Dennis
aibudo 0 Posted January 11, 2013 OK, found out what the problem was. UAC!!!!! Found out how to allow the specific web address/software not to be stopped by the UAC. Did this through trial and error. This is for Windows Vista: When in the internet browser, select "Internet Options". Click on the "Security" tab Click on "Trusted Sites Click on "Sites" Un-check "Require server verification...... Add the desired site (s). In my case, added two for the DVR program Click "Close" Didn't realize that this would affect the UAC, as I read on the internet where they said it wouldn't. They were wrong. Dennis
