GV-800 restarts computer

Hi,

i have a problem with GV800.

Constantly restarts the PC.... 1-2 times per day or 4-5 times.

I can't figuret out what happening ??

 

I formatted and installed the PC with XP sp3, installed GV800 8.0 ver. - and computer still restarted.....

Is there any chance the GV800 hardware problem ? Or problems with cameras... or power supply

 

Only error from EventViewer is ->Applications :

LoadPerf

Unloading the performance counter strings for service WmiApRpl (WmiApRpl) failed.

The Error code is the first DWORD in Data section.

 

I even tested GV800 on another PC, and still restart....

Look in the setting page there is a setting to hae the system reboot on a schedule.

I have auto reboot system options

 

1.Delay for Cancel reboot 3 sec

2. WatchDog reset if reboot system suspedn and fail

 

only Delay for Cancel reboot 3 sec is with tick.

But could this be the problem with restarts... ?

what are the specs of computer? how do you have the software configured?

i have seen/used better systems, yes, but i wouldn't call GV crap.

 

i have installed/maintained 20+ GeoVision DVRs. pretty solid.

 

i reserve the word crap for the all in one units (bundled for ~$600). stay away from those.

for the record, all my cards were bought from authorized Geovision dealers, no fake cards here.
