DVR wont connect via HDMI "out of range"

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Trying to connect a QVIS I-ZEUSHD to my Sony Bravia. I live in Europe so I operate Pal. I have the box connected to the tv via HDMI but I cannot see anything. I keep receiving the message "out of range". I have tried connecting the box to my tv via VGA and it only partially works. The screen keeps sliding left to right and it is appearing 640 X 480 / 60. That 60 had me thinking NTSC. Anyway, does someone have a suggestion how to rectify this? I really want to hook this up via HDMI and according to the specs it should definitely work.

EDIT: I tried connecting it to a newer Sony Bravia downstairs and both the HDMI and VGA are working perfect on that one! The first tv is not full 1080P, only goes 720p/1080i. Not sure if the newer one downstairs is full 1080P or not, but even still, surely the picture should show on 1080i and also how does the VGA not properly respond?
