Viewing Swann DVR on Mac

I am trying to view the swann DVR4-4000 on my mac but I can't get it to work.

I installed Player_Mac_v1.0.1.1 and MyDVR_Mac_v1.0.1 from

www.swannsecurity.com/downloads/drivers/DVR_4000/

But I see nothing in the Applications and trying to open the DVR's IP in Safari gives me a blank page.

I am sure my network configuration is correct, as I can see the cameras from my iphone and ipad normally.

What am I missing?
