cdwhel 0 Posted January 17, 2013 I have a dahua DVR and I'm trying to connect to remotely. I had it working fine, but recently when my ip address changes the DVR will not update the no-ip hostname's ip address. The strangest thing about this is that it will update the ip address when I reboot the DVR (I guess rebooting forces the dvr to send the update to no-ip?), so I know that my information is put in correctly and the DVR is capable of updating no-ip, it just won't do it on its own. Has anyone on here experienced this before, or have any idea on what could be causing this?
vector18 1 Posted January 17, 2013 Can you take a screen shot of your ddns page in the dvr?
cdwhel 0 Posted January 17, 2013 Unfortunately, I'm not at the site of the DVR now, and the ip address has change, as I can't connect to webservice. I'll be able to get that when I get back to the site.
rhinoman 0 Posted January 21, 2013 Only just come across this forum looking for a solution to exactly the same problem. I use QVIS dvr's which I think are the OEM for Dahura. I recently setup no-ip on a new DVR for a new customer and that is refusing to update the free name.no-ip.org account. I have checked the settings against another customers name.no-ip.biz and other than the free host name all is good but the .biz one is updating as it should and as it has for the last nine months or so. I'm wondering if there is a bug in the web interface or firmware with the recent systems?

I'll be able to get that when I get back to the site. Ask your customer to open their web browser and goto ipchicken.com. If you changed the http port to anything besides 80, than open explorer on your PC, enter the IP that ipchicken gave them, and colon http port. Example http://169.178.23.5:8000
cdwhel 0 Posted January 30, 2013 Thanks for the advice fellas, I actually fixed it the next day at the site and forgot you report back to you guys. Problem was the customer had the no-ip host name set to round robin, which I discovered after actually going into the host name's settings. He was attempting to set up a port redirect, because he convinced himself it was needed because we were using port 88 as the http port. I just ended up making a new host name so the default settings were there and it works great now.
