March Networks DVR

Recommended Posts

It really is good if you go for the server transaction method - I know the guy in Ireland that installed it (Will Power is his name, no joke)...nothing like it supposedly...I believe Foodstuffs in NZ has it installed already - the person mentioned at Foodstuffs as a reference is Carolynne Ball, loss prevention project manager...

I think I mentioned this before... the local store I usually get CCTV stuff at (Hill's TV/Video), switched from a 16ch Panasonic WJ-HD300 series DVR (the pretty blue/silver one) to a 4000 series March Networks DVR as their main store DVR/demo, etc. March must be very decent if they made that switch. Or perhaps they just wanted more FPS.

They are hurting themselves by resellers not having online stores. I think I found 1 site with pricing, but you still had to call to order. All others I seen online you had to call them to get a quote. That is a major turn off IMO, from an end-user POV anyway.

Hard to get pricing on when i was looking at them, that put me off quick, cause that means i couldn't get support either. I got contacted regarding filling out a detailed form for pricing from a rep, a few months later ..

Otherwise looked like okay software .. only thing that looked unique was the wall mount DVR panels that resembled alarm panels, thats what i was looing at them for actually.

10 minutes from their HQ and are a darling in town due to their earnings and public offering - Sir Terry Matthews also carries a lot of publicity...I work in the security industry as well. Market Cap over CDN$400Million now...
