QVIS Shangri-La Remote viewing weirdness

Recommended Posts

I have this QVIS Shangri-La DVR all set up with some cameras and it works fine. I have remote viewing capabilities with a phone app and IE but there is an issue with viewing in IE that is driving me crazy. I used to just be able to log in using IE remotely tick Connect all video (Extra Stream) and see the grid or the view that I last saw from the previous log in...I mean it just worked. Now when I log in the same way the grid is just all grey boxes. If i click the Full View button on the bottom menu I can see the feed fine but it opens in my other monitor (I have 3) so it is working. Once I open it in full view I can't move it Drag it back to other screen) so it bugs. I must have ticked a box or something I shouldn't have and messed this up. Any ideas?

Update: I tried another PC I have using IE 9 and it works like the PC I am using now did before so it has to be a browser setting. The PC I am on and that it did work on is using IE 10. Baffled.

The answer is staring you in the face, just remove and reinstall the relevant software or update your IE

That's what I thought and have done what you suggested but no luck.

Alright I have no idea why but I can get this to work now. Like I mentioned I have 3 monitor displays. By default IE has always opened on one particular monitor and sense I only use IE to view this DVR it pretty much stays there. I discovered that if I move the browser to a different monitor and log in I get displayed camera vids, or if I log in on the original monitor and then drag it to another I also get camera vids. If I drag it back to the original monitor the video display freezes until I drag it back to another one. So some setting on my original monitor is gone whack. What kind of setting on a monitor would cause that? It did work at one time on all monitors.
