Video Conference

I'm looking for a ip based video conferencing solution similar to the SONY PCS-1, but with a better price tag.

Application is remote patient treatment, so video must be encrypted for privacy. Otherwise I would use a good ptz ip camera.

A PC based solution is also possible if anyone has any idea.

Polycom ViaVideo II video conference cams, they work swell.

just get 2 vpn routers one on each end and use whatever you like

like new top of line (0.05Lux) ptz d-link webcam ~$700

Do you need the cam to be able to move? If not why not a simple MPEG2 webserver, the reason that I suggest MPEG2 is that MPEG2 encodes the video and audio into one stream and therefore has not latency, you could use the alarm input on the webserver to activate to a decoder box when button is pushed.
