I found that the best way to ID a DVR is to take the cover off and take numbers from the board. I was surprised to find numbers that matched up to a manufaturer different from the name which I purchased it as. I have been adding hard drives and then decided to keep a log of what I was adding and make a list of all the numbers I found inside. I googled my Q-See 518 and got some helpful reports that led me to the LTS manufacturer site. Al.
