Dahua NVR3208 - Remote not working as expected >>

I posted this in the DVR section as well. Remove that post if it should go here.

 

Have the NVR setup and working well. The only part that doesn't seem right to me is the remote control that came with it. It doesn't work unless I hit the "Add" button on the top right of the remote. Then some of the keys work.

 

The remote seems locked out from working unless hitting the "Add" button first. Anyone else experience this and is there a setting for it that I am missing.

 

I want to be able to scroll through channels with the remote

press ADD, input the device number/id from the general settings of the DVR and then press OK; default is 8/008

Anyway to omit the channels that don't have cameras hooked up. Would be nice when scrolling through to only rotate through active cams.

Modify the monitor options of user default, setting only the cameras you want to view.

I tried that for user default but the unused channels still show up. Any other ideas?

 

I removed all the unused from all users except admin. it wont let me modify that one for some reason.

 

So the NVR uses the settings from "default" for the screen output?
