Samsung SDE 3003N port forwarding on a Actiontec GT704WGB

Recommended Posts

g

I am trying to port forward Samsung SDE 3003N on a Actiontec GT704WGB Verizon

On dvr I set port 88 for web viewing

and port tcp 554 to 558 as was suggested in manual

I let the router set the ip address and then set it to static

this all works on local network and can be viewed on ie

the problem is with remote viewing

I think I am not setting something up right in the modem/router

you have to set up a new rule and this is where I am having the problem.

I type in the external ip with port:88

I get to the login page, login ,all I get is black screen where the cam feeds are.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS I originally used the Samsung quick connect and it worked for about 3 days and stopped

If you are getting the login screen then this leads me to believe either you are missing something like a java applet, or activeX control which is causing the black box to be displayed or you are missing a port for the video streaming.

When you open the page do you get anything like a popup box or anything telling you a control or applet has attempted to run?

Will look like something in the link above.

Thank you for your reply

I contacted tech support and they suggested that I activate DMZ on the router for the DVR ip ,success so far , I will wait and see if it holds up more than a few days

Is there any way to view this on a Mac?
