Help with cameras for Newbie

Does anyone know of any documentation that explains the different terms with Security Cameras, in particular with IR cameras.

 

I recently installed Video-Insight and I'm pleased with the setup, not its time for the cameras. I'm looking for outside IR cameras. I want to educate myself before jumping into this, unless someone has strong recommendations on IR camera to choose.

Also visit www.extremeCCTV.com and read up on some of their IR gear, they are not cheap but a leader in the Infrared CCTV industry.

Rory is right. Spend some time on the Extreme site and you will learn all sorts of things about IR cameras. I thnk they are the absolute leaders in IR lighting and integrated IR cameras. Even if you don't end up with one of their cameras you should learn some interesting things regarding IR in general.
