Angel1403 0 Posted November 14, 2005 Hi there, I just got a new high res bullet camera with 16mm lens. It was great. However, a little to close to subject. I unscewed the 16mm lens and added 12mm lens. However, I cant get a clear image??? It looks like I would need to screw the lens in further than it will go to get a clear image??? Is there a special way to add a new lens so that focus is good/clear? Cheers Allan
spytown 0 Posted November 14, 2005 Is that a "D" mount lens you are using? also do you have the special tool that should have come with your new lens to make proper adjustment on the camera?

rory 0 Posted November 15, 2005 (edited) yeah some of the IR Color Bullets come with those, the one I had was the 100' OEM IR one, had a 16mm fixed lens and tried to claim that IR, got one from a client to install, it stayed out of focus until I chucked it in the garbage can Edited November 15, 2005 by Guest
Jasper 0 Posted November 15, 2005 You need to make sure you’re getting the right type of lens mount. Find out what type you have. Is it a C-mount or CS-mount? You probably should buy a varifocal lens that will let you have some flexibility of zooming in and out. This way you will be able to adjust it to your liking.
