I have a cnm primus H.264 4ch dvr kit with 2x cameras, it,s all set up and running apart from the HDD and Record light is always on even when i go into menu and turn all recording to off mode,it is set on motion record but seems to record when it likes. When i first got it it said no hard drive so changed wires around and all was fine,. Take a look in your manual, maybe they operate in a different way. maybe if the light is green it means that the hard drive is good, then ornage is for recording, and off or red is dead... something like that. Liquid_Squelch 0 Posted March 23, 2013 My HDD light is red on my DVR when the HDD is full. It doesn't really matter because the way I have mine setup, the new files overwrite the old files. So, in this config, the HDD will ALWAYS be full. Maybe that explains why your HDD light is on too. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
