Recommendations for a Camera over Cash Register

I am after recommendation for cameras over cash registers to catch staff stealing.

Also recommendation on placement of them.

And how do you go about cash register screen overlay on IP cameras

Besides the "video recording", you could/should use a serial device to imprint the serial communication of the cash register on the video

Do you want to catch them stealing or prevent future thefts? Something big and obvious would help prevent future theft if someone is thinking about starting.
