tomdlgns 0 Posted March 24, 2013 i have a few laptops with windows 8 64 bit OS. i would like to view the cameras with the multiview program but i am having an issue installing the software on the laptops with windows 8. no issues with windows xp or windows 7. (actually, i did have a minor issue with windows 7, but one of my two methods worked, i will explain below). -method 1- start internet explorer with admin privillages navigate to the dvr via browser download plugins/active x download the multiview program launch multiview and set up he program (user, site names, etc) -method 2- use the CD that came with the DVR card and attempt to install it from the CD in windows 8, i was getting an error saying that the software wasnt compatible with my OS. i got this same method with 64 bit windows 7 OS's, but method one worked for me. method 1 is not working for me with windows 8. however, i also think that Internet Explorer 10 has something to do with it, now. i suppose i could try rolling back to IE 9, but that will be a temporary fix. at some point, IE 10 will become the default browser on new hardware and i will be in the same scenario. any recommendations? thanks.
